My wife just bought be a sheet of these yesterday at the post office. She said they just opened them about an hour before she got there and they only got ten sheets total. She got me a sheet of the stamps they came out with a couple years ago that were designed after an old trade card too. These are really neat.

Here is an image of the stamps from a couple years ago and the original trade card they were designed after.

Thanks,

AndyH

You can order sheets online from usps.com. Ironically, they charge $1.50 shipping.

Just at USPS office in Texas, and saw the new stamps. Nice looking. Always love baseball stamps.

They have been selling like crazy since they went on sale Friday. My initial supply was only 200 but I was able to order 2000 more. They won't last long.

BTW, you shouldn't need to order online. Every PO in the country is supposed to have a supply of these.

Assuming it's not worth the shipping charges to wait in a USPS line...

Jon,

For your viewing pleasure, a few pictures from the 1925 World Series. By the way, not meaning to steal your thunder, but I am also looking for Louis Bierbauer, but you first:

I got those old style stamps and the negro league stamps framed for show at the house. The look great in a black frame and one has red streaking in it making the old style stamps really pop. Great cheap displays.

Unfortunately, stamp distribution is not what it used to be...

Agreed. With the shipping so cheap, it is easier just to order them from the USPS website, that way you are guaranteed to get some. I think you have until the end of August to buy these, just in case you want to stockpile some.

They should be available through the philatelic division for a year or until they sell out. They may be available longer now that they're good for one first class letter "forever"

If anyone's interested in a discussion about these stamps from a Philatelic angle, I recommend this thread at the Virtual Stamp Club.

I ordered mine on the internet. They don't have them at all post offices I guess.
