Default Thought I won a T206 on ebay

In fact, I did win the auction 3 days ago. Seller even posted a tracking number as though the card shipped. Then today, he emails me that he has to issue a refund because he didn't realize that the card was previously sold. The guy has a grand total of 13 active card listings and none is older than 1976...but he forgot he sold a T206? Has this nonsense ever happened to you?

It happens. Someone probably emailed him AFTER the auction was over and told him he would pay more for it.

Sucks though!!

You are more than likely right Greg. I just looked again and though the back scan was very fuzzy, it may have been a Piedmont Factory 42.

Or he thought he'd won/gained a card to resell before he had it in hand.

I can understand a "Buy It Now" being out of stock. Sellers sell in different venues and often can lose track of what they have listed where and forget to remove stuff. If you have something up for auction, it should be pulled and set aside already.

According to the Seller and backed up by ebay records, he actually sold it on February 3, then relisted it over a month later. Very strange but apparently true. Unfortunately, I passed up the opportunity to bid on another auction for the same player card.
