AUTOGRAPHS BASEBALL HALL OF FAME & NON-HALL OF FAME RARITIES

100) BABE RUTH VINTAGE AUTOGRAPH ALBUM PAGE Offered here is a 3 1/2 x 6 page. The original collector has attached a bold fountain pen signature from another page at the top of the sheet and below has attached a magazine photo of the Babe. Perfect for display. The actual cut itself measures aprox 3 x 3/4 and the item as a unit displays nicely. Babe Ruth was a legend that transcended sports and became an American cultural icon. He set records as a pitcher for the Boston Red Sox and later shattered the exisiting home run records as a Yankees slugger. Member of the fabled 1927 Yankees team a season in which he slammed 60 round trippers his career accomplishments are too numerous to mention here. He was one of the original 5 inductees into the Baseball Hall of Fame. He died in 1948. $3,250.00

101) BABE RUTH EXQUISITE DOUBLE SIGNED LARGE FORMAT COMPLETE PERSONAL CHECK Measures 3 1/4 x 8 1/2 with Babe Ruth imprinted on the far left. Astonishing condition with not one but TWO perfectly executed signatures made out entirely in Babe Ruth's own hand to "Cash" signed on the front and endorsed on reverse by Ruth. Dated Sept 25th 1937. Although you may find a less expensive "Bambino" check you'll likely not find a nicer one , Rare double signed Babe Ruth checks have become increasingly tough to find. Perfection costs a little more. The cornerstone of any Babe Ruth, Yankees or Hall of Fame collection. $5,850.00

102) HARRY HEILMANN handwritten note written to Heinie Manush in bold pencil and signed nicely. Measures aprox 2 1/4 x 7 1/4. Recieved your letter , next time in town phone me or send up to the press box and I'd come down and get you, my best HARRY HEILMANN" Obviously written when Heilmann was an announcer for the Tigers. There is a vertical center crease that extends through the middle portion between his first and last name which would be hardly visible when displayed. Any handwritten Heilmann items are rare especially written to another baseball star. Possibly one of the most under rated ball players in history his lifetime .342 batting average is the 12th highest in major league history. He played for the 1914, 1916-29 Tigers and 1930 & 1932 Reds. Led the league in batting FOUR times ! 1921, 1923, 1925 & 1927.
