Default One-of-kind Chicago White Sox at Royal Gorge 1910

This is a perhaps one-of-a-kind photo, apparently one of three different ones snapped near same spot, as the Chisox headed out to California for spring training. We know this because of incredible response to thread I started over at the main board awhile back, relating to the better known colorized postcard taken down river a bit. Fanatics here managed somehow to ID every player based on newspaper clips and of course their own amazing recognition of various faces, from Ed Walsh to Mr. Comiskey. It was a hell of a thread, and here is link:

http://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=184835

Anyway, inspired by that, I managed to purchase the black and white shot from the same session at eBay, with a story behind it, relating to someone's father being a photo collector, the photo coming directly from the railroad's file, or something. See detail I've added at update down the page. 5x7 photo. $79.99.

Here are details (see below) , from woman who sold me the photo. Note: The crease she refers to is very minor. There's a stamp on the back, "R.A. Ronzio Collection." Neat printing on back in blue ink is mainly technical stuff about the train engine, posed with "White Sox at the hanging bridge, about 1909." Also: "Geo. L. Beam photo. DRSGW files." -- GM

From the woman:

This lovely black and white print was photographed by George Beam the official photographer of the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad. It shows the Chicago White Sox Team posing under the hanging bridge in the Royal Gorge. The black and white photo (not glossy) is from the D&RGW files and is in good condition. There is a crease in the lower right hand corner. The back of the photo has writing from (I assume) the curator of the George Beam photos. Please note that the watermark is not on the original photo.

My dad (Richard A. Ronzio) started collecting in the 1940s and collected primarily railroad and mining photos, paper ephemera, pamphlets, maps, books, and just about anything you can imagine. Most of the collection was sold after his death. My inherited portion has been stored away in my crawlspace until recently. I now need the money to make ends meet on a fixed income and need to clean up the ‘stuff’ before I die. Please rest assured that all items have been in my families’ possession for as long as 70 years but more typically 40-50 years.

This print was NOT made by my dad but was from the original George Beam negative from the D&RG Railroad files. Where and when my dad purchased or obtained the print I cannot determine. All I can say is that it was NOT printed in 1909 but at some later date...
