Wink Looking for a couple boxes of junk wax for my daughter

I have a 9 year old daughter who is showing interest in baseball as well as my collecting cards. She is always asking about how I collected when I was her age, where did I get cards, how do you trade, was the gum good, etc.

Anyway I thought it might be fun to find a couple of boxes of junk wax, make some popcorn and hot chocolate and have a daddy/ daughter date night going back to my childhood and connecting it to hers.

I'm looking for anything Topps, Fleer, Donruss, Upper Deck, Score, Bowman etc from mid 80's to early 90's. I would really like it if they still had that awful gum in it just for the bonus nostalgia.

Not looking to spend much and defiantly not looking for the potential collectibility of what's in there. Let me know what you might have and what your looking to get for it shipped and we will see if we can make a deal.

Don't have any myself but thought 1989 Topps might be a fun year to do with the chance of pulling a Griffey rookie, which she might find pretty slick. Plus 36 glorious sticks of 26 year old gum! How can you go wrong for 14 bucks?

Just realized Griffey wasn't in the base set. Well, there is still the 36 glorious sticks of 26 year old gum!

I was just looking around eBay to see what stuff was out there. I found 91 Stadium Club in abundance and I loved those when they came out. Great photo of Griffey (my personal favorite, Frank Thomas classic swing and who could forget Nolan in a tux. Great set. No gum but not the end of the world. Anyone have any or other suggestions of a cool set that would fit the bill?

87 Topps was always my favorite...ton of rookies and hall of farmers!

If she likes football I have about 1 zillion 1990 proset boxes (emmitt smith RC). I'd be happy to send you one gratis if you'll pick up the shipping cost.

That's very kind but we are strictly a baseball only family.

Those original Stadium Club cards seemed so luxe when I was 16. Almost like handling diamonds and gold, but in cardboard form. Would be fun to rip a box of those now...wonder if they retained that chemical scent they had.

Agreed. Makes me want to pick up a few boxes and relive some memories of my own.
