At first I was skeptical, but then I read that his cousin vouched that it is from 1949.

Doesn't he know he shouldn't touch such a high value card when he has giant boogers on his thumb? (Second pic)

I guess "replica" and the "(C) 1989" on the bottom didnt give it away?

Most fake listings make me shake my head, but this one made me literally laugh out loud. Looks like he stuck his thumb in a bowl of Raisin Bran.

I don't normally bother but I emailed him just to see what he would say. He said he thought the 1989 referred to a future contest. You can't make it up.

Fantastic!! I wonder if he would have any interest in buying the 20 or so MINT copies of this card from my collection. Then he could really make some money.

New message from: flourish96 (50Blue Star)

well my cousin said it might be real, i will let the buyer decide based on pics

It's obviously a reprint and you should just say so and it's pretty much worthless besides.

flourish96:

no i thought that was for a future contest

Uh... did you notice the 1989 copyright date, and the address with a zip code, at the bottom of the back?
