Got a nice surprise in a Gypsy Queen pack today
I'm new to collecting and got really giddy when I saw this. I picked up a few Gypsy Queen packs from Target today for fun, and in the third pack I found a David Ortiz yellow printing plate:
First cool find for me as a new collector. Not sure the value on these things, but I thought it was a nice surprise in a pack I bought from Target! Last edited by JRDill; 06-01-2016 at 07:42 PM. |

Printing plates of David Ortiz have sold for between $10 and $50 on COMC. Nice find.

Yeah I was pretty stoked on the find. I'm really enjoying the Gypsy Queen set so far. Hopefully I can continue my lucky finds at Target! |

I've gotten a serial numbered card to 5 of Miguel Cabrera, two jersey cards and an auto card out of my 5 retail blaster boxes at Wally World.

Make sure when you're buying retail, that you buy from the Blaster Boxes (normally 7 packs in a small box for $20), because those are most likely unsearched. Raw packs can be felt through to see if they have wider or metal cards.
www.comc.com is the site I was talking about. Great place with millions of cards for sale, which has announced that it will begin cross-listing almost all cards on eBay as well. However, it will continue to be cheaper normally to buy on the site rather than through eBay or Amazon.

Always cool to pull a nice card. I haven't broken anything open in a while but that's what makes it fun. Congratulations.
