Philadelphia Stars pennants
There always seems to be several Philadelphia Stars pennants on eBay in the $200 to $250 range, but I've rarely seen pennants offered from any other Negro Leagues teams. Are these Philadelphia Stars pennants real? If so, was a stash found in recent years? They always seem to be in nice shape ...

I've seen reproductions of the Negro League teams but I don't see them very often.
The most common Negro League pennant I see is the New York Black Yankees. There always seems to be one of those on Ebay.

Chris,
There was a find of Negro League pennants about 30 years ago. Philadelphia was one of the teams in that group. They are all the 3/4 size and most were in ExMt to NrMt condition. They are legit. Negro League pennants other than those found in that find are EXTREMELY rare. I will try to attach a couple of photos as examples of that group. Today most of those sell in the $150 to $400 range. I believe from the style, size, and other factors that these are 1940’s.
I should add that they did reproduce these pennants, but the originals are fairly easy to distinguish as original.
