this is not Ed Delehanty. Although his wife was ill at the time of his death, she did not die until the 1940s.

Whoa Nellie! According to the handwritten note on back, portrait was taken after Nellie died. Ed's wife was named Norine, and daughter Florence. Perhaps Nellie was his favorite horse.
