Babe Ruth Sale to Yankees Promissory Note $25k Lelands
Did anyone see the personal copy of one of the $25,000 promissory note at Lelands last night? It had an underlying 6% rate.
https://auction.lelands.com/bids/bidplace?itemid=113587 It was part of the Barry Halper collection that was originally sold by Sotherby's in 1999. I did some researching last night and saw an original of one of the additional three sold at Goldin for $150k (previously selling by REA in 2007 for $44k). I thought it was an amazing item. They also had a cover letter for sale as well.
