Scanner settings Epson V600

Quick question for scanning cards. I recently bought an Epson V600 and was wondering what settings people are using for their scans. Have about 350 prewar cards to scan. Thanks.

I personally turn off everything. I want my scan to look just like the card in my hand. I scan cards at 400 dpi.

Here is a link to the Graded Card Scanning Guide that was put together by someone on the CU Forums. It's a good read and you'll probably find it interesting and helpful. Not sure if you're scanning slabs or raw, but worth a read…has a bunch of settings specific to the V600.

Slabs being scanned. Approximately 350. Definitely time consuming. Appreciate the link.

If you want faster scans, you can use "Document Mode". Also, I use Legos to create a jig for alignment that I just pick up and put down between scans. Helps it to go much faster when scanning in a lot of cards. In document mode, I use 300 dpi and I adjust the gamma values based on the card, usually somewhere between 1.6 to 1.9.

I have a v600 and love it.
Obviously the higher res the slower the scan. I find 200dpi perfect for my scans of cards, raw and graded. IF I need higher res I do it, but 200dpi does it for me.

How much better do you need?

210 out of 360 cards scanned. Definitely a big job. Refinding a few cards I had forgotten about.

Leon, I have a problem with it scanning PSA cards good, and SGC cards not so good. Do you use the same setting no matter who the grader is?
