Ohtani just became the 19th player in MLB history to attain 400 Total Bases in a single season.
Excluding the steroids era players like Bonds, Sosa, and Luis Gonzalez, all of the players who have had 400 total bases in a single season are in the HOF, except two players. Who are the two players that have had 400 Total Bases in a single season that are not in the HOF (not including steroids era players and Ohtani himself)? As always, please guess rather than look-up the answers. Last edited by cgjackson222; 09-27-2024 at 08:48 AM. |

I'll go with a couple 70's, 80's guys.
George Foster Dave Parker

Not sure if he did it, but I assume Albert Belle falls into the steroid era.

Babe Herman is my guess. That guy had one of the most incredible seasons of all time and it has been forgotten ever since.

Don Mattingly? He had a couple monster seasons early in his career with ~230 hits and alot of HR.

I’ll guess a couple of 30’s guys with short but good careers:
Rudy York and Hal Trosky |

On my Babe Herman tip, I'm going to guess the other player might be Lefty O'Doul.

Dave Parker led the League in total bases 3x, but his high was 350 in 1985. Quote:
Great guess, but Acuna had 383 in his MVP season last year. Quote:
