Default 1955 Bowman #48 Error Card (new discovery?)

1955 Bowman #48 Error Card Milt/Frank Bolling (new discovery?)
The top left card is the listed #48 error card
The top right card is the listed #48 corrected card

Heres another #48 wrong back with the wrong front?

Is it skinned and re-glued to be fixed? Because it looks like the top edge juts out from behind like it's been rebacked.

John I think you are right. I didn't notice it until you mentioned that. But especially looking at the back pf the card. Fooled me. Thanks for the reply!

I love cards like this people went to effort to 'fix' or improve to make up for a manufacturers mistake.

fooled me Greg! More than once I've noticed things after scanning and posting that weren't seen in hand.

You're right, it does sort of look like that, but my question is, why would someone go to that much trouble - time, labor, etc. - for this card? What would be the point? To create an "error corrected" card? Doesn't figure.

Kid in 1955 with OCD? May not have been any profit motive, just someone who didn't know it would be corrected in the series when card #208 came out.

Neat Find!

I think this is a known error, unless I'm missing something - https://www.psacard.com/cardfacts/ba...-back-48/43977

Yes, the OP is showing known errors...the #204 card has both Bolling backs also. Don and Ernie Johnson's backs can be found with their backs swapped too.

Below is an actual peel and re-glue I found recently.

Tigers Bolling front (2 bats) with Tigers Bolling back is only on card 204, not 48. That's the card he's asking about. So he's got a skinned error 48 Tigers back with the front of a different Tigers Bolling.
