OBAK, PACIFIC BISCUIT PROOF?
Posted By: Patrick McMenemy
I was curious if anyone else on the board saw this EBAY item which closed yesterday. Any thoughts on whether it might be an Obak or D311 proof? |

OBAK, PACIFIC BISCUIT PROOF?

wow, looks to be a 1909 obak proof piece or at worst part of the sheet. in the right category it would have brought close to $2,000 so don't feel bad the seller was the bigtime loser. |

OBAK, PACIFIC BISCUIT PROOF?

I can't say I have heard of any proof Obak cards floating around, although there are uncut sheets of the 1909 set out there. They are all Oakland players; from left to right they are Christian, Cameron and Ragan. The most interesting thing about this strip is that the images of the players are reversed. For example, on the issued card of Cameron the glove is on the right side of the card instead of the left, on Christian his arm leads off to the left instead of the right, etc. |
