Purchased these two 1923's on Ebay recently. One of them is Kelly, Seattle. The other is a Vernon Player, but his name has been scratched off. I think it may be either Essick or French, but I'm not sure. Anyone on the board have this card or have an idea who it might be?

Thanks,
Adam

Kelly is the one with the four chopped corners

I don't have this exact card, but this player has both the age, body shape and facial appearance of 'Vinegar' Bill Essick, who was the Vernon manager during this era.

Thanks Brian. I had a strong feeling that it might be Essick. In this pose he has a very managerial appearance.
