Default Back from the National - Thanks

Posted By: Bryan Long

Just wanted to let everyone know that I appreciate the kindness from the board members while at my first National. As a newbie to the board all the guys I met made me feel welcomed and I thank you. Great show, and I'm already planning for next year.

As for pick ups I was out priced on most of the stuff I wanted but I did manage to pick up a group of 8 e103 card for very cheap because the bottom ad is trimmed off, plus:
e96 meyers
e96 mcquillan
t206 Young portrait
and two 49 bowmans of Paige and Snider

Pre-war was just too much for my budget. I'll remember that for next years show.

that is a doosie of a Mello Mint, I have that card in a sgc40 , it doesnt look like that one, nice pick up.

It was also nice meeting several board members .I am honored to meet a well rounded and kind group. Iam dropping in age every year as last one Jonathan Perry thought that I was a 64 yr old and this yr funny how you Quan, said "I thought you were like 54 or something", I find that funny . You guys are getting the 4's right
but Iam 44.

The Billy Idol hair color made me easy to find and keeps my youth a little.

I guess I can have fun with that and look forward to the next time.

Good evening
Dan

Jay and I jsut got back. It was great meeting everyone, and even missed talking or introducing myself to a few. I wish I could have at least got to introduce myself to all. I never saw Brian Long and I saw Brian Cattaquat at the dinner but didn't get a chance to meet him. I am sure there was others but there was a nice turn out at the dinner. It is grreat to tie a face to a name.

I was a ble to pick up a Piedmont Art Stamp of Christy Mathewson, one Art Stamp I could find for sale,(will post scan when I get it) and a few upgraded in my T206s. I was trying to find the last card I needed for my T202s but to no avail.

The hilighted was seeing 5 cards after the dinner, that are worth about 10 times net total net worth.

I certainly am glad I was able to get the time off and go.

If any one enjoys miniture golf and is in Madison Wis. they have a great one called golfland. Never shot such a high score and had so much fun.

Lee
