I've tried and tried to figure this out. Anybody know how to get scans of this size to post on ebay? Link provided below and any help is appreciated!

I think you have to pay for a premium service, i could be wrong. There are a bunch of companies that offer enlarged scans that sinc to Ebay. Others may be able to help.

This has worked for me: Load scanned images to free image hosting site like photobucket and add the following to ebay listing description area:

(img src=" cut and paste URL of photobucket image here ")

In above replace ( and ) with < and >.

Not my view, but some argue against having too big and clear an image.

Edited to add: make sure to click on "html" before adding to listing description area.

I'll try that. I know personally I love the bigger more detailed scans and usually more often than not I'll spend a little more for a scan that makes it easier to see any hidden flaws with a card.

You can't do it using the standard photo service eBay provides. You have to do it using HTML code directly in your auction. I HIGHLY suggest this method for any fairly expensive card for a variety of reasons, but mainly because it's clear to the buyers that you're not trying to hide anything.

In the description section they allow you to put in HTML code. So the first thing you need to do for each picture is upload it to someplace on the internet (If it's under 100k you can use the image in your PSA registry?) and save the URL for the picture. You can get this by right clicking on the picture and choosing properties once it has been uploaded somewhere. Photobucket and other services will usually show you the URL right on the page.

Then where you want to insert the image in your description, use the instructions above.

So you put the link to the scan in the html code section...and then go back ot the standard section and put in your wording...and the scan will show up? (A message from the technically challenged)

I wanted to add one more thing here...

When you have figured out how to add your photos using HTML code, you have the advantage of adding as many photos as you want without having to pay eBay any additional fees. You can load up 100 photos from every angle, or front and back images of every card in a 10 card lot and not pay an additional penny to eBay.

If you spend just a little time learning code (free tutorials are all over the web for the basics), you can really put up a nice looking auction for the very minimal cost.

Make sure that you still load the one free photo that eBay allows so that the listing will show that you have an image.

Thanks,

Andy
