RE-slabbing cards

Does anyone have any experience submitting cards for grading that you have previously cracked out of their case?

In putting together some NS sets I have cracked out several PSA and SGC slabs for complete "raw" sets, but I saved the various serial number tags.

I am now ready to sumbit the entire sets for grading -- is there any point to include the tags for population report purposes or will they just be discarded anyway?
