I'm hoping that Bolin is left of Shantz MVP because of this line.

1961 Topps series 6 reconstruction

The 1961 series 6 reconstruction is as frustrating as the 1965 series 6 reconstruction is. Miscuts are few and far between. However, I did spot this one recently. Any help identifying the card below...

1965 Topps series 6 Reconstructiom

It would be nice (helpful?, lucky?) if it was Mota because then the red card to the right of Howard would be Aguirre. But, I had recorded that the Indians RS was left of Aguirre (can't find that...

1967 Topps stand ups

The 1968 poster set still has the ugly airbrush jobs on Hunter, Howard (although not so bad on the blue helmet), Wynn, and Staub. In addition, Wynn and Staub are the only two that have the city name...

165 Topps series 6 reconstruction

This is definitely a very frustrating series to attempt a reconstruction for the reasons that Cliff has already pointed out. Obviously, the individual card placements require a lot of miscuts, and...

A miscut of Owens shows a similar mark, so Horlen may above both Owens and Miller somewhere on the two slits.

And there is a miscut of Priddy that looks like Owens is below Priddy.

Strange row...

1961 Topps SPs

The Berra MVP card is in series 6. It is defintely one of the eleven cards that Cliff and I have seen in ebay counts with reduced quantities. Are there other reported SPs from series 6?

We see Lee...

1961 Topps Series 6

Series 6 is a 77 card series, so SPs exist. However, Cliff and I are both finding that some cards (e.g., Cheney, Thomas, Brandt, Will, CL7...) have exceptionally low ebay counts (e.g., < 50), while...

At least the nomenclature, "hand-cut", that they applied appears to confirm our header card (left-edge) suspicions for several cards

1961 Topps series 6

Pagliaroni, #519, is definitely a header (left edge) card. Examples can be found with the slit marking (blue mark in left border), wavy edge cut, and an oversized left margin. If only they were all...

1961, #519, Pags can be found both with and without a blue swirl by the catcher's mitt. It is easily found.

Ok. So those are close in size and probably are correct. And they certainy look like top edge cards.

However, a top row card in a 77 card series has always been at least a 4x quantity card....

Is it possible/conceivable that those cards might be trimmed slightly? Do you have back scans of those cards?

Today was a lucky day for wrong backs. #469, Lumenti, has a WB of #473, Shantz AS. I believe that is #504, Consolo, next to Shantz AS.

What causes that type of defect? And would you expect others in that series to exhibit similar defects?
