I'm not saying that a fall as you noted does NOT indicate dying, just that a fall does not PROVE dying, which should be the point of the term "KNOW" in the title of the thread "When to know the hobby is DIEing!" One could just as easily and esoterically argue that anything that is born or comes into being (such as a collector's market) begins to die the moment of inception. Just picking the nits that need to be picked.
