T206 Harold A Perris Stamp

I have a T206 Downs with this stamp. Antique store in upstate NY? Any idea of the time frame?

Looks like that antique shop was around from about 1959 through the 1960s based on his newspaper advertisements.

Probably didn't last long because he was damaging his antiques. ;-)

Or maybe he gave T206s away as business cards because they were still a dollar or less at this time.

Sadly, it’s still a common practice today. I see so many Antique dealers who write prices or their initials on paper memorabilia. They’ll say “oh it’s just pencil and can be erased”, but they don’t understand the damage that it does to things like tobacco cards.
