I also keep my collection in the 15 pocket pages. As has been said, it's great for organizing the collection and it's a pleasure to be able to flip through it anytime.
To protect my cards from damage when inserting and removing, I put the card in a halved penny-sleeve, which fits inside the pocket well without squeezing the card, and insert it with a flexible plastic 6" ruler--See scan--I use a utility knife to cut the sleeves in half. Inserting the card driven by the ruler inside the sleeve takes a little practice, but it's pretty easy, and removing the card is as easy as pulling out the plastic sleeve. Graded cards I represent by either a photo-copy cut to size or a replica card. Doug |

The reason i did the inserts was so I could use standard toploads but not have the cards flopping around looking funny.

I stack my t206s tight with rubberband and left them in attic. Hoping they will show ghost overprint when I take them out next time.

Great thread. I have accumulated enough that I am definitely going to take a shot at the monster. I'll have the usual suspects graded and maybe a bunch of others, but plan to keep the remaining cards raw.
I have ~30 raw now, and have gone with 3x4 premium toploaders w/ penny sleeves. However, I just found a nice wood box sized to hold the T206 toploaders so i think I will do that... 1) does Ultra Pro make premium toploaders in the T206 size? in 3x4, the premiums are worth it IMO (clearer plastic), but I am not sure they make premium in the T206 size. 2) does Ultra pro make penny sleeves? cant seem to find them either. I like the 1/2 penny sleeve idea that someone posted above, but would prefer the smaller size. any answers are appreciated!

At the risk of committing hobby heresy, I store most of mine, p-vg stuff, without any sleeves at all in a small cardboard box. They all have rounded corners already, and I like them the way they were meant to be. Nothing has been damaged yet after a few years of doing this with all my vintage.
If the card is particularly fragile, it gets a tobacco sized penny sleeve and top loader. |

I bought some of the individual mylar sleeves I saw mentioned in this thread:
https://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=276726 I then put the sleeved cards in standard 9-pocket pages, since I'm super-paranoid about trying to get the cards into and out of 15-pocket pages (some of my cards are fairly rough and could fall apart if not handled very delicately). I've been very happy with this set-up. Leon, I hope the re-post of this is acceptable. If not, my apologies. |
