I still have my '34 Gehrig. That one can never be sold/traded with the sentimental value.

I saw it at an antique store as a teen and really thought it was cool. The following Christmas it was my Christmas gift from my parents.

Default About to celebrate my 24th anniversary with Ty

He was a first anniversary gift from my wife. Saw it at an antique store and was intrigued by the intensity of the eyes against that red background. Little did she know what she started. Only one of seven of my original collection I kept when I started pursuing putting Howe's collection back together. The other six were either anniversary, Father's Day or Christmas presents from my wife or son.

Default Cobb Bat Off

Still got it. Still raw. Purchased in 1967 for $5. Bat off and Red P soon followed. Still lacking the Green P.

I still have mine and would never sell it. Unlike my other pre war cards, I get to see it often - every time I post.

I still have 1 of 2. I regret selling the red Cobb but will never let this one go. I have had it for 30+ years.

From an ad in Baseball Digest circa 1979. I also bought a Rogers Hornsby fielding 1933 Goudey around the same time, but traded it away a long time ago.
