Amazing thread.
I have three baseball related advertising pieces as well as a few other advertising posters from the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. I love the advertising lithograph posters of the era. The artwork, colors and how well many of these posters have survived is incredible. When purchased originally I thought this was a Piedmont counter display used for single cigarette sales, but after looking at it closer I believe it to be a counter ashtray.
Note the strike marks on the side a match would have left. Well loved, but cool none the less.

Agreed, that Virginia Brights Pirates piece is amazing John. To keep the Virginia Brights theme going these two large advertising pieces (8"x13") were more than likely displayed in a general store to market Allen & Ginter Richmond Cigarettes. A couple wonderful cigarette making gals!! (CJ in pic used only to give you an idea of actual size)
   These similar poses are found on N46's which I have one.
