Nice Robinson! With that pose and the spring training crowd in the background it almost has an "in action" feel to it.

I was thinking that this picture was taken in Seals Stadium in SF where the Giants played their 1st 2 seasons before moving to Candlestick in 1960. Many of the Giant player's, as well as some other NLers, cards have Seals Stadium in the background on their 59-60 Topps issues. Last edited by savedfrommyspokes; 12-15-2016 at 08:14 AM. |

I know these are not baseball but they are just too cool not to share.
Got these in a trade from a fellow member. They remind me of drag racing from when I was a little kid.

Ben, I loved those cards as a kid growing up! One of my favorites were " Way Out Wheels " cards as well.
Seeing your racing cards brought back a flood of memories for me! Good times!!!

I can't remember with a 100% certainty, but I am pretty sure I owned Drag Racing or NHRA cards at one point when I was pretty young.

Love the old school drag racing. Saw those too, great pick up. Wish I had picked up more of those packs as a kid.

Here is a link to a previous thread discussing the 52 grey backs. While it does not discuss reasons why some GBs appear to be SP, it speculates which cards are SPs: http://net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=207721 |
