A few pickups. The first two from fellow N54s Beatles_Guy and smotan-02. N54 is such a great resource for B/S/T. Thanks guys! The tickets are a grouping of early Cornell/Penn games and one Princeton game.

Joe...
Great stuff, and I love the Peck & Snyder Ad Card. The Boater Hat and Thayer Mask are incredible to see portrayed as items currently available for sale. But two questions.... 1. What year is that from (gotta be ancient) 2. What on earth is the doohickey pictured at the lower-right?

1882. The P&S add is the back of the trade card in the 3rd picture. The trade card is an 1882 series H804-11 card. I got it because of the great P&S add. I don't know what that thing is on the lower right, and I am not sure I want to know

Congrats Bob on picking up that very cool sign.
The advertising that Colgan's Chips created is top of the line, and visually stunning. Patrick |

That is a fish trap. Very rare. I sold one on ebay a few years back for big bucks.

Here's one that sold for $536 in 2011 (This seller listed it as a "Frog" trap, but it is patented as a fish trap).

I got a good selection of World Series programs and ticket stubs. Stubs are from 1917, 29.34, 38, 40, and 45. Also 1947 all star game.

Thanks for the kudos fellas.
Paul most folks believe it's 30s or 40s. Here is a thread where it was discussed. http://www.net54baseball.com/showthr...Tigers+figural

Cool stubs Mark. I like seeing them all spread out like that. Make a nice collage.

Mike - I've never found anything on my baseball wishlist in an antique store so congrats!
I have a hard enough time finding anything worth a hoot that's baseball related in antique malls let alone a wishlist item!Waited up until 3:00am central time to make sure I could fall asleep knowing I had this piece. Last edited by ruth-gehrig; 01-15-2017 at 03:16 AM. |
