Amazing body of work. And was a fun performer to see live. His music will live on for a long long time.

Conflicting reports from several different reliable sources as of 5:30-6pm EDT
-- some have him gone, others have him on life support.
Doesn't look good either way. Fingers crossed he's still alive and can recover...

I heard the same thing. TMZ, which I seen on my local news, said he was taken off of life support and is now breathing on his own?
