That's a great find. But if that's really a snapshot, it must have been someone with greater access than an average fan to have taken the photo on the field during warm-ups.

It was the team photographer. the other two that came with it were used for team issued PCs.

Default J=K's

Craig and Aaron,

Great J=Ks!

I especially love the type II's where the players head was incorporated into part of the box tab.

Here are my two J=K examples... sadly "Rough" Bill Carrigan was decapitated somewhere along the way.

I couldn't resist, after seeing the Old Puts; Here is a signed Fredericks CDV of "Old Put's"
(Gen. Isreal Putman, Rev. War hero) great grandson; in the era of when the Connecticut Tobacco Company was making the Old Put 5c. cigar. I love a good back story; still in progress.

Default Old Puts

Thanks Jerry and Ben on the Old Puts!

Ben, The CDV of Israel Putnam's grandson is really cool!!!!! Israel was a French and Indian War and Revolutionary War Veteran....Story goes is that he earned the "OLD PUT" nickname around the age of 24 when everybody in his town was having their animals terrorized by a big, bad wolf. His friends lowered him down into the den of the wolf by his feet tied to a rope, and he didn't have any fear and killed the wolf all by himself with his hands and buckshot. He "Held Put" as they say, and they nicknamed him Israel "Old Put".

Not necessarily baseball history, but American History!

Phil, especially love the BLUE Kling "Old Put" that you own!!!! I will keep my eye out for those 2 needed E98s!
Happy New Year everybody!!!!! Almost at least!

Ben

I used to live in Putnam County, NY, where the general held a command once.

Adam,
Coooool!
There is so much, un-tapped history; connecting Old Put, the General and our hobby; with the E98 back stamp; just another, of my dive projects.
And I've got a few, ....

Ben

So happy to re-acquire this one, and even though I had to give up a nice card, my collecting tastes tilt this way.
I remember when I acquired it the first time. I am pretty sure I overvalued it by multiples ....not good when selling.
