Congrats to whoever outbid me at 12:24am on the Evers Portrait PSA 5. I had just fallen asleep. I think you got a great price!

I agree, if you live on the east coast these auction's end way too late, somebody needs to come up with some new creativity.
Thanks,
John

My preference for all of these auctions would be a closing time of 8pm eastern, with 1 hour of overtime (where you can only bid on lots you had bid on prior to 8pm eastern) and then lots close one by one when no bids are made after 15 minutes after overtime. Most of these auctions are open for bids for 14+ days prior to closing, you have plenty of time to get your bids in. I understand that bids can be connected and people have finite budgets, but thats what collecting is all about, picking your spots and time/place.

Anyway, I won 2 items last night, the T205 lot of 44 with a Mathewson (which was right at the top of where I priced it) and this beauty.

Piedmont 42s are tough, and this one is no exception. Got it right at the top of my price limit. Very happy to add this one.

Congrats to whomever won the Lou Gehrig 55 hocus focus.
I placed a high bid marker days ahead and it held up (at my max)
until 7pm that i know of and left it at that.
SUPRISED--only 1 bid afterwards it seems. Congrats.

Default Great Auction

Thanks Love of the Game - Al and all his staff - for a great auction.
Thrilled to pick up 2 beautiful cards - 1 for my T206 set and one for my T205 set.
Thanks!

I think it's totally understandable and acceptable for small auction houses that struggle to land a lot of quality consignments to stay open until the early morning hours. It probably makes consignors feel better and helps the auction house squeeze out a few more dollars. Great auction Al and team!
