Hi Jim. I'm not sure why PSA was chosen over SGC. I left that decision up to REA. I believe that PSA may have had previously graded a few of the 1929 Star Player candy cards so that may have been their reasoning.

I also have quite a few 1933 Goudey cards in the auction including several Babe Ruth's and a fairly nice Lou Gehrig. Also a really nice 1933 Sports Kings Jim Thorpe card that was graded a 5 by SGC.

That’s too bad. I think those cards would have looked killer in SGC slabs.
