Thank you, Scott.
I'm a display kind of guy; I once owned a small wholesale jewelry company and found attractive displaying to be important. I have approx. 550 MLB managers autographs, all on flat items. A large number are in protective pages in 3-ring binder books, but I have a lot more that I haven't gotten to put into the books yet. Most of the autographs are on baseball cards or pictures. But the ones I have on index cards, cancelled checks, cuts, or documents I have enhanced with a picture or baseball card of the guy. There are several pieces like the one I just bought from Jim Stinson that have multiple signatures and I create a display page with the pictures of the guys who signed to dress up the item. My collection is for my pleasure; I'm 73 and have collected for around 60 years. LOL...my wife always asks that, at my age, what I'm planning to do with the collection and my other autographs and memorabilia. But I keep buying and acquiring. |
