Wait… I thought they didn’t have a slab that it would fit in, which is why they folded it. If they had this one all along, why was this even an issue? I’m so confused.

Check looks good now. They can't make the crease go away but they did the best they could to make it presentable.

Thanks for the update. Here's my thought. The check was already creased but that's no reason for PSA to fold it again and put it in the slab that way. Total knucklehead move on their part. It was good to see they did compensate you and paid for shipping both ways with express service.

At least they took ownership of the issue. There's not much else they could have done except encapsulated it correctly to begin with.

I'm not a PSA fan but it seems like they did the right thing here.

Max, do you feel good about this now?

They had it, they just didn't give a shit. Same reason they put five-figure tobacco cards in slabs where they slide all around inside

Spot-on.... their crumpled baggies are great if you like diagonally placed cards and upside-down Colgans Chips. And the wrinkled baggie itself adds such an interesting dimension... it's much like melding a classic Rembrandt with an abstract Jackson Pollack.

How this is the predominant grading company is beyond me. It's akin to going out for a burger and choosing McDonalds over In & Out. Unfortunately the lowest common denominator has spoken.

So much better.
Before if you showed it to somebody their first reaction would have been
“why is it folded ?”
