Griffey is Griffey, I don’t see much possible growth in the future. However I can’t imagine him doing anything to derail the lasting legacy. The largest question on him personally is can the 1989 UD really hold up when it is easily in the top 3 overhyped cards in modern. There’s enough for every man, woman and child to have one and still have unopened wax. Maybe if he moves more into the public eye with broadcast his more rare cards could have a spike. However, the more he lays fairly low that chance becomes very small.
I wouldn’t be a buyer for any possible return that would exceed basic inflation and if the oversupply is finally recognized the 89 could drop like a stone. Again as always…my opinion.
