Both of my oversized pennants would be at the top of my (I'm running out of the burning house...what do I grab list) but for variety I'll include my favorite trophy.

This oil painting by the Michaelangelo of Baseball is my favorite 2009 and all-time memorabilia pick-up.

Default It Was A Very Good Year

2009 was an outstanding year for The Dorskind Collection.

We acquired 20 important pieces including three ultra rare post cards, three advertising signs, an ultra rare George Miller wrapper and plethora of Negro League and Federal League Memorabilia

Whilst it is difficult to choose a favorite, our two recent acquisitions from The Lealand's Auction are our first and second choices.

God Bless America and Happy Holidays

In the spirit of the Holiday Season, this was a wonderful year for collecting and for making some friends via this forum. 2009 was great for buying, selling, and trading alike. I acquired some amazing new pieces, sold some things I never thought I'd part with, and made some great trades along the way.

But most importantly, I got to know and make friends with some people within the hobby that would not have happened without the help of this site.

I don't have a favorite piece, but here's a "top 5"... It's a Cubs Pennant from the days when they were a feared opponent. There's no question that the ferocious/realistic early Bear mascot was better karma than the cute/cuddly Cubbie mascots of the past 60 years. Perhaps that's the reason for their demise!
