Definitely the Baltimore News Ruth, actually I would put it #2 ahead of the '52 Mantle..................

N172 Cap Anson in uniform would have to be in the running.

I read there were around 100 Planks known to exist and just 60 Wagners or so? Either way, I'l never see one!

How much did the last Plank sell for?

Varies by person. For me the list is:

1. N172 Anson in Uniform
2. Baltimore News Ruth
3. T210 Jackson

I like the '52 Topps Mantle but it isn't in my top 50

Probably differs by collector, and by day, but for this collector on this day, a CJ Jackson can occupy the #3 spot. Although I'd change the top 2 as well...

Regards,

Richard.

How about e90-1 Joe Jackson. That was earlier than his Cracker Jack cards.

it is different for me, the 52 mantle topps is not in my top desirable list....

For me it is easy and not original
1- t206 wagner
2- t206 plank
3- 33 goudey lajoie

It's not nearly as expensive as some others, but due to my love for black and white...I put the '39 play ball Teddy way up on the list
