It's the details that kill you in this hobby. That is the rookie Ruth I was referring to. I guess for me, it would be #1.

Globally, your #1 is probably accurate, but from there it goes by taste. On a pre-WW2 vintage board, you'd probably not get overwhelming support for the '52 Topps Mantle being the #2 desirable card. It being the second most recognized globally might be a different discussion, though.

Truth be told, if I had a T206 Wagner, I'd sell it because it is so universally acclaimed in order to get cards that are more desirable to me. My point is that desirability is a personal choice. So, the question really is, "What is your #3?"

I agree! I am imagining by selling a T206 Wagner I would be able to finish off all of my sets/upgrades, and have plenty of money left over to start a couple more projects that I've always wanted to.
