Clayton,
Rick Perry never said he wanted to eliminate Social Security or Medicare. I'm not sure where you heard that (perhaps it was that political prayer rally  ), but I would love to know your source. Link?He wants to reform it. I think we can all agree that Social Security needs to be reformed. It's not being used for the purpose that it was originally intended to be used for.
