I went to Fenway this summer for the Cubs Red sox game and the fans were too nice, think its because we havent won a world series in 103 years.

A couple of new Gehrig type 1's

1939 Studying up for his job on the parole board.

1936 at Yankee Stadium with the cadets from the Japanese Naval Academy. It seems weird to me that in 5 short years from this picture, likely some of these same cadets would be involved in the Japanese bombing Pearl Harbor. I looked the Lt. up and could find no information. Who knows, maybe he was on one of the carriers.

Is that George Costanza in the naval uniform? Seriously though, that is one of my favorite pictures I've ever seen! Nick pickup!

Hey Mark,

Nice pickup. There was a TLS by Lou when he was a member of the NYC Parole Board on ebay recently. You didn't happen to pick that up as a companion piece, did you?

Picked this up on ebay. It's 22 X 17. I feel like framing it, but not sure where I would hang it.

It might have had something to do with the fact it was the last regular season series of the season and the Yankees held a 1-game lead in the AL East. I swear all of Boston took the day off of work that Friday and drank all day.

I went to Fenway this year to see my Tigers play the Red Sox and the fans were also very nice. My girlfriend surprised me for Valentine's Day. She is so awesome. The Tigers lost the game but we had a great time and were treated to a match-up between Beckett and Verlander. We plan on visiting a different park every year and imagine the reception would be different if we visit a bitter rival's park.

I got to see Marlon Byrd get hit in the face, was one of the worst things to see at the game. Cubs did win that Saturday game though. I try to hit about 2-3 diffrent ballparks a year. this year I did Fenway and Coors field. Fenway is def. one of my new fav's.

My brother just moved back from Washington this week and I was sifting through some of the stuff he brought back with him and ran across this beautiful poster and counter display for the Castle Films World Series films...unused with the original shipping envelope.

Unfortunately, Lefty does not meet the 10 season requirement for the Hall.
