I don't think the guy was out of line by much.
Make it a bit different, we've all seen home runs into the stands at poorly attended games. Some even hit into a totally empty section. There's usually a bit of a race to get to it. So what would you have them do? Maybe utilize the hr distance measurer to determine who was closest and announce things like "guy in the green hoodie was closest, it's his ball" Baseball is getting silly enough. Agree about the internet detectives who are wrong this time, and the woman.
