Quality control being what it was back then….. I think they mixed up the nickname for Walter Johnson with Smokey Joe Wood!!!! Johnson had other nicknames most notably The Big Train but I couldn’t find anything where anyone ever called him Smoky Joe.

I hope that collectors focus on the Gehrig card and overlook the WaJo card!

Ryan - Further enhancing the Gehrig is that particular batting illustration is a 1923 rookie image - beyond cool! (PSA’s photo expert has confirmed this).

LOL, they forgot to mention that Lou Gehrig was also known in certain circles as... "The Babe".
