The only variation I have seen listed is the boxes are either even with the names and numbers or they are lower. Photo from Mike Cody's website.

Check out this thread I started many moons ago about 1967 checklist variations...

That was a very helpful thread Darren. I had forgotten about it. I did find the front difference you point out on the two different color backs I have. The Clemente with the darker line under his chin and mark by his ear occurs on my whiter version

I am sure this print defect has shown up here somewhere before. A friend would like to know if our print experts have a theory on how both the white letters and the mark below his lips may have occurred

Another cloud variation card....two different recurring copies with clouds behind the bat, on one copy the cloud almost reaches the helmet, the other doesn't.

Not a variation, just an oddity. Maybe everyone else already knows. The main pics are reversed but the insert photos are correct

Another 71 Pirate, #212 Hebner and I think a tough one. Finally found a second card with this defect to confirm it's not some other mark. Small black loop in the lower right of the white inner frame.

EDIT: Very similar to the long known Reberger #251, though not as easy.

The Mantle back defect is shared with 6 or 7 other cards in the 58 set which were on the same sheet. See post 2334 above. There is also a recurring print defect on the front of the 58 Mantle if you are interested.

Thanks for posting your list. I see some stuff I am not familiar with. Have you been all through this thread ?

By the way, welcome aboard

Default Some more fun ones

I still find that the 1958 mantle will become a huge card in the hobby based on how rare it is 1 day

Default Duke sniders

Of all the topps removed dots cards my absolute favorite is ted Williams…that Topps actually looked at it and said those dots are in the wrong spot….but Ted had always said when I was younger I put my dots in the wrong spot to throw off clubhouse signatures……unfortunately there’s enough out there that no premium is added unless Psa ever recognizes it

Cliff those are really cool they are a prime example of too much water in the ink….. same as my 1966 mantle and 1958 Aaron both posted above…..when ever I see drastic versions of these I buy them!

Also my 1958 obrien pictured too!

Default Here’s another

You can dismiss kell as print plate alignment issue
And ashburn as another print bleed

New one on me, but COMC acknowledges it.
